Further Information about our Storage Services We are currently expanding our external storage space by buying virtually new 20 foot shipping containers. These are accessible by vehicles up to Box Van size. Access is currentlt 6.00am to 9,00pm Monday to Friday and Weekends by arrangement (although currently limited). For suitable clients we are willing to consider a wider access, based on suitable proof. Rates are from £25 plus VAT per week. The storage containers are ideal storage units for small businesses, where working from home has become a problem but you need to keep your overheads low. | |

1) The 'packed on your doorstep' containerised storage solution...where we call at your residence in our purpose-built container storage vehicle.

2) Flexible DIY SELF STORAGE solution, where you deliver the goods to our secure Warehouse.
3) 20 foot Containers inside or outside the Warehouse. We can also deliver these to your premisies (access permitting).
4) Archive Storage (see Archive Storage) and Palletised Commercial Storage.
We have a forklift on site that can handle upto 2 Tonnes. We store any item, providing it is LOW RISK. Ie NOT HIGHLY FLAMMABLE OR DANGEROUS IN ANY WAY. PICTURE FORK LIFT
We have stored PRE-PRODUCTION items, such as ROLLS OF PRINTING PAPER and the POST-PRODUCTION printed brochures.
OUR STANDARD CONTAINER has a volume of 250 cubic feet. It measures 5 feet wide by 7 feet high by 7 feet deep.

LOCATION
Our self storage facility is just 9 miles from Chester Town centre (just off Junction 9 of the M53). It is just 15 miles from Wallasey, Wirral.

STORAGE INFORMATION
A Smooth Move (Wirral) own and store at Ellesmere Port Warehousing, Dockyard Road, Ellesmere Port, South Wirral (POSTCODE CH65 4EF). The building is dry and highly secure, with direct-line security to police, via the Redcare Alarm System and a Closed Circuit Television System. Both systems are monitored out of hours by INDEPENDENT monitoring stations.
Our container storage process has 3 stages:
1) We load empty containers onto our SPECIALISTS PANTECHNICON, which has side doors to allow access to these containers. These containers are 7`x 5`x 7`(= 250 cubic foot.).
2) We carefully pack these containers with your possessions, wrapping most items with multi-layered paper blankets.
3) Back at the Warehouse we take off the full containers from our Pantechnichon with our specialist fork lift truck and carefully stack them away.
The process is then reversed when you want the contents delivering to your new home.
We are currently awaiting a new container wagon so sometimes it may be necessary to 'freeload' your items into a traditional removals wagon and load the containers at our warehouse. You are always welcome to go with the our staff to view this process.
THE CHARGES INVOLVED.
Delivery into storage per container for a “typical” storage removal are £80.00 plus VAT for the first container and £60.00 plus VAT for subsequent containers. However these prices may vary either up or down depending on such factors as: the type/age/value of the furniture and other possessions you have, the access at the collection or delivery property , the size of the property etc. Delivery out charges are often the same as delivery in charges, unless there are obvious differences at the respective properties (ie. access, distance from our warehouse etc.)
OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
OPTION 1) (LIMITED LIABILITY) Fee, per Container, per week £10.00 inc. VAT
OPTION 2) (STANDARD LIABILITY) Fee, per Container, per week £12.50 inc. VAT
We offer 2 levels of Liability depending on what option you choose from above.
LIMITED LIABILITY cover is outlined in our Terms and Conditions. We strongly advise you read them. You goods have a level of cover that can often be significantly less than there value.
STANDARD LIABILITY covers you goods in a very similar way to an Insurance policy. We offer £5000 Libilty cover per container for just an extra £2.50 (inc VAT). per week.
Some Household Insurance Policies may cover clients goods whilst in transit or storage.
OTHER DETAILS
SELF STORAGE
Self-delivery/removal to and from storage is possible. The Terms and Conditions and our acceptance of Liability on self storage is different from where we do the delivery and collection. The difference are detailed in the Terms and Conditions.
Payment is 5 weeks in advance. If you leave storage before the 5 weeks is up you will be refunded any “whole” weeks.
Minimum storage period charged for is 1 week, although you can leave storage (by arrangement as long as the account is paid up in full) whenever it is mutually agreed.
We make every effort to minimise the number of containers used for your possessions.
Access to containers in storage will incur a handling charge and any staff charges that are necessary, ie. minimum of 1 staff to supervise. If specific items may be required please let us know at the time we pick-up your possessions so that we can suitably label your containers.
