1) What happens first..exchange or completion of contracts?

2) If your purchaser insists that you give the keys to him once your removals company have emptied the house you should:
a) Do as he says because he owns your house then.
b) Give the keys to the estate agents who should only relase them once the monies have been trasferred satisfactorily.
c) Let him have the keys because he has been OK to deal with.
3) A good way to save money when moving is to:
a) Not bother having a survey on your new property.

c) Do you own conveyancing even though you hate paperwork.
4) At what point is it sensible to NOT try to carry out the removal yourself.
a) If the last time you moved yourself you swore you would never do it yourself again!!.
b) If the last time you moved yourself you ached for days afterwards in places you did not know you had!!.
c) If the last time you moved yourself your best friends came up with the most pathetic reasons they could not possibly be available to help on your move day or, worse, promised to come but then cried of the night before, leaving you and your pregnant partner to Do it All yourselves!!.
5) Your might require storage for a short period because the old couple in the house you are buying cannot move out on the day your purchaser is pushing to move in, do you?:
a) Risk losing the sale by insisting that your already bolshy purchaser will have to change his date..
b) Do the sums and realise that even though professional storage by a removals company adds to the cost of the removal it is stuill significantly cheaper than losing the sale and all the extyra costs that will incur.
c) Realise you need storage but try to borrow a mates old garage and hire a small van to move your items there.
6) You get a quote from a removal company that says it is normal for clients to supply there own boxes, do you?:
a) Get your own removal boxes on the internet, costing you almost £60.00.
b) Use a removals company like A Smooth Move who supply removals boxes fon a free loan basis.
c) Beg, borrow and steal boxes (OK not steal...make 15 trips to the Supermarket to collect one or two flimsy boxes each visit).
7) Is a Homesellers pack a mandatory requirement?

8) It is advised that you only call removal companies for quotes a few days before you move?
a) Yes, that is usually enought time.
b) No, call them at least 2-3 weeks before the expected removal date
c) You will need to call them at least 8 weeks before the move date.
9) At what stage is the moving process is you purchase legally binding?
a) It is always a voluntary agreement until the money is paid.
b) It will be from exchange date
c) From Easter Monday.
10) Does it matter if the house is untidy when people come round to view?
a) Absolutelly not, they should be able to see past a bit of clutter.
b) It is amazing how important a tidy, uncluttered house is in helping a sale.
c) It depends on the house and the extent of the clutter.
