Further Information about our Storage Services

We are currently expanding our external storage space by buying virtually new 20 foot shipping containers. These are accessible by vehicles up to Box Van size. Access is currentlt 6.00am to 9,00pm Monday to Friday and Weekends by arrangement (although currently limited). For suitable clients we are willing to consider a wider access, based on suitable proof. Rates are from £25 plus VAT per week. The storage containers are ideal storage units for small businesses, where working from home has become a problem but you need to keep your overheads low.

LOCK BOXES-superb security devices

A lock box is simply a protective steel encasement that surrounds the normal lock fixing place. (the lock box above is the 'cube' that the special padlock is sitting on). On a standard container 'straight from the manufacturer' there are usually 5 places that locks can be. 2 on each door opening mechanism plus a central lock that joins the main doors together in a traditional 'eye and pin' way. The main problem here is that the lock is easily visible and accessible.

Even superior padlocks can sometimes be 'jemmied' off or bashed of if enough force is applied. If this is not enough they can be cut off by suitable power tools or 'burnt' off with welding equipment. You don't need to be the hulk to apply a large force using leverage or a heavy hammer!! And welding equipment is easily available too. Standard shed locks are next to useless. See for yourself. Take a standard domestic hammer to one and see how usually 3 or 4 good blows will knock it open.

However if the device (ie, the lock) you are trying to remove is shielded by a steel box the options open to you are reduced!! The degree of difficulty is vastly increased!! It is pretty unliklely any one will access such a container.

Of course we have CCTV coverage and REDCARE alarm in various areas of the Warehouse and its grounds.
